Update

Well I've been using some new tech lately, I have the iOvilus app for the iPod and the shackhack, or franks box. Both have been giving surprising results. I also built 2 new or cameras. So I'm trying to step it up a notch.

Winter update

I really need to start updating this more often, but not a lots going on. I bought a "Franks Box" to do some evaluation on. But I'm having issues with it's operation as a paranormal tool. Some say you use it inline with recording equipment like a white noise generator. Others say you just ask questions with it hooked to your recorder like a microphone. Still others claim you have to hook it to speakers and use a microphone to record the sound so there's a separation between equipment. I don't know it's all confusing, I think I'll just go out and play with to see if it does anything or not.

School's out for summer!

Finally a break! At last summer break is here, and providing me with some much needed free time. All of my gear is in disorder, nothing has been updated in months, I haven't been on any investigations lately, and I need to start interviewing investigators. So my plate is full again! But at least it's full with my hobby not my school work for once. So I have that going for me. :)

Spirit photography using my RAZR phone

I was limping my way through the Perceptory at work the other day ( twisted my ankle again :P) and I noticed a massive cold spot, it was so cold in fact that I couldn't feel my fingers after I pulled my hand out. Quickly I whipped out my trusty Moto Razr phone with its built in digital camera, and snapped a pic. The screen was unbelievably distorted and grainy like there was a lot of interference. The pic showed up as a dark mass with some "ectoplasm" forms in it.

So I took some steps back to ensure the overhead lights weren't causing the distortion, and took this one.

Then I noticed in my peripheral vision a purple light like a "orb" or "rod" not the dust most people in this field call an orb, but a true orb seen in these pics of me trying to follow it. You can see in the pics it's emitting it's own light, a purplish blue light that's in contrast to the yellowish lights in the room. Also the phone has no flash or illumination to cause it to reflect. In the last pic you can see the orb has just passed to the left and illuminated the the edge of cloud that was still there. It was moving so fast that by the time I pushed "capture" it was out of frame. But these are the best I could catch using my cell phone. Next time I'll bring my Nikon and K2 then we'll see what it catches.

The website is finally up!!!

I'm finally finished with the new website. HTML has a steep learning curve it would turn out. Also this blog was reported for a TOS violation, which I have absolutely no idea how one sentence about me photo shopping buttons could possibly violate anything. But it all comes out in the wash right, I'm back and undeterred.
As the Walpurgisnacht/Samhain/Halloween/Dia de los Muertos/All Saints Day fast approaches spirit activity usually experiences an up-tick. So it's a good time to keep an eye out for phenomena that might have been harder to observe during the spring and summer months. Typically if you did some remodeling during the summer now is the time when the spirits in your home will voice their opinion on your handywork. Also the awesome fall weather is finally here. I almost forgot how much I missed the sound of leaves blowing across the yard in the wind, and the smells they carry with them. Then there's also the pumpkins...

New blog for the new website!

Well, here it is the first post on the new blog which will be linked to the new website when I get the time to finish photo shopping buttons and such. I'm totally new to the whole blogging thing, but I'll try to keep it interesting and current.
